{The age of Exploring}…Belmont, NC family photography

I first met this little guy when he was just a newborn. I think I have a shot with his head on mommy’s chest from the time he was just a couple of weeks old, to now, as an almost 2 year old. We had a blast in this field, as little “L” played with his truck, sat in a radio flyer wagon, and tried to catch ladybugs. The first two shots are from when he was a newborn, then again at 1 year old, and now as an almost 2 year old. It was great seeing you guys again! I hope you enjoy your slideshow here!

Beautiful…the first thing that comes to my mind when I look at baby “W.” Yes, he is a boy, but just look at him?! Those eyes, that angelic face. He is perfect! I came back to the home of the “M” family this past weekend and he sure has grown since our last session. He can hold his head up, so alert, and smiley. Thank you “M” family! Much love! Well, another one of my favorite little clients has hit her 1 year milestone. Her parents threw her an adorable 1 year birthday party surrounded by their family and friends. I have had the joy of watching this beauty grow from the time she was a tiny newborn, into a beautiful and spirited 1 year old. Here she was last year…

And here she is now….I can’t believe how grown up she looks! She sure looks darling in that pink dress. I have loved spending time with you guys this year. Look at that angelic face! Baby “C” was quite precious. The words that I feel describe him and his session are…perfect, peaceful, and serene. I loved the way this family interacted together. I loved the way they cuddled up so comfortably that I didn’t have to give any direction. I loved the way that Angela and Raffe watched their children play and discover…together. I first met this family a couple of years ago and was thrilled to get to photograph them again. It’s only been a little over 3 months when Jax was born, but his tininess as a newborn is fading from my memory. He is almost 13 pounds now and it’s hard to believe he was just a few pounds in January. That is why I am so glad to have photographs to remember that fleeting time of him as a newborn.

It’s funny how life brings you back around and reconnects you to people from the past. I got reacquanited to a dear friend I had in Jr. High school through good old Facebook. She is now a beautiful mommy to an adorable 6 month old and married to a great guy. I was absolutely thrilled when she asked me to document her family. Baby ”P” is SO beautiful and beyond precious. Remember her? She was welcomed by two loving parents, two adorable big brothers, and tiny enough to fit in a basket. *Sigh!*

here she is again at 6 months old…

and here she is now…still with the same adorable smile, two loving parents, and adoring big brothers. Let me tell you photographing 3 children under the age of 5 can be challenging. But, these kiddos had me laughing and on my toes the whole time. I don’t want to miss a moment! Thank you for allowing me to document Ella her 1st year. Remember being five? It was a time of play, exploration, and discovery. I went outside on Easter Sunday to play make believe with my beautiful niece Ava, and while we played, I grabbed some shots of her. I find it hard to believe she is five years old! I seriously feel like I just took her 3 year pictures the other day. I love this little beauty! Here’s a reminder: no matter what your age…be playful, explore and discover.
